Lone Star Love .... AMBER & BRADLEY

We have completed our journey with Amber and Bradley, a beautiful couple from the Lone Star State of Texas. Last week had the privilege of sending them their completed wedding invitations!

This sassy couple, decided on silver sparkle, with Navy and Fuchsia accents! The invitation backing is made of thick silver glittered cardstock, with an ivory shimmer writing layer on top. Amber sought out a different invitation layout than the traditional. They chose to highlight their names in a shadow box font, followed by all script details! A perfect choice for these square beauties....

The font is printed all navy with a knotted satin fuchsia ribbon. The invitation housed a matching RSVP card and envelopes with the same font designs.

We truly enjoyed working with this unique couple and wish them the best of luck this August!

Congratulations AMBER AND BRADLEY!

California Dreamin'

Shimmer, Sparkle and Shine are no strangers to the wedding industry. Whether it's here on the East Coast or on the Golden Shores of sunny California, brides have one thing in common, they love to add glitz to their wedding accessories!

About two months ago we had the pleasure of beginning our journey with Tina, a beautiful California bride, and her hubby to be David, the couple living about an hour west of the stunning city of San Fransisco.

David and Tina prepped to be wed, while visions of sugarplums danced in their head...

The bride and groom chose a beautiful invitation, with a plum finished font, shimmer plum envelopes and ribbon, and a sparkle layer sure to outshine the brightest stars in the sky.

The three layer invitation also boasted a satin plum bow, which was the perfect touch of purple, accenting the font color flawlessly. Guests should expect these beauties to arrive in sparkle plum envelopes.

         Congratulations Tina & David!!

Congratulations Lance!!

Between the snow, weddings and orders, it's been a very busy winter at MBM! We are excited to welcome spring and there is no better way to do that than in celebrating Lance's Bar Mitzvah!! Today, friends and family of the Varela's are honoring Lance at the Sterling Gardens in Matawan!

We met Lance when he was about 10 years old, in the midst of planning his brother Devin's Bar Mitzvah celebration. It didn't take long for us to realize Lance had better taste than we did. During the process of planning his brother's bar mitzvah, Lance was quick to give his ideas and input, each idea bringing more flare than the next.

When we began the process for Lance, we knew we had to be quick on our feet to keep up with him. Incorporating red is never an easy task, so we knew we had our work cutout for us. In the end, every detail and idea Lance and his mom Stacey sent our way, was fabulous!

Beginning with Lance's invitations, the satin red ribbon against the matte black backing made the invitation pop. Down the road we made matching thank you cards for all his guests. The red font accents made the guest of honors name front and center, as it should be.

Lance did not surprise us when he chose a very elegant centerpiece. Perfect for this time of year, a 3 vase collection of varying heights with acrylic crystals and submerged iced branches, were lit red to match the theme. These particular pieces were a glowing representation of the Varela family.

Congratulations Lance!!

We are looking forward to celebrating with the Varela's and Chase in 2022!!

We are super excited to have had the privilege of working with Maren, a  beautiful bride from the fabulous country of Norway.

Maren and her husband Jansen sought us out for the exclusive 'All That  Glitter's' invitation line. They chose a gold and ivory theme, with a new style brooch, with old world vintage charm.

The invitation beautifully written in Norwegian, describes all the details of their wedding, including the date of their marriage (their reception came later), the location and the reception details.

The Roaring 20's - An inspired wedding theme

Glamour is back and making a big statement in the world of weddings! No era was more glamorous than that of the 20's; sequined dresses, feathers, rhinestone headpieces, pearls and fringe all make up the super glam style that has made a glitzy comeback in recent months.

To keep up with this going trend MBM has designed stationary inspired solely by the flapper era.

The first piece of this collection is of course the wedding invitation! Why not make a unique first impression on your guests with this Great Gatsby inspired stationary.

Every detail on this invitation screams roaring 20's! The invitation starts as a simple bi-fold folder. The front of this invitation is then given a lace wrap, black satin ribbon for some shine, followed by a shimmer monogram including the bride and grooms name!
To bring in the staple of the 20's, a rhinestone and pearl brooch and black feather are added, mimicking the look of a flapper's headpiece. The monogram is then adorned with additional rhinestones for added sparkle.

Making this invitation even more unique is the interior. A damask print background lines the inside, followed by the shimmer wording layer. The couple's names are front and center and put on a diagonal curve to add a bit of flare! To add a bit of cohesiveness, we added a diagonal pocket to the bottom, complete with the insert headings following that slanted line. The outer mailing envelope (above) is also written on a slant, bringing all aspects of the interior and exterior together.

To complete this stunning set are table menus and place cards. The place card boasts a smaller band of lace and thinner ribbon, to match the size of the card. It also includes a mini version of the invitation brooch and feather. The fonts mirror that used in the invitation, tying this stationary set together.

Lastly, is the table menu, pictured off to the right in the photo below. Again, the fonts match that of the place card and invitation, and the black satin ribbon, mini brooch and medium feather are added to mirror the invitation. The last piece of this puzzle is the monogram that overlays the ribbon, exactly as it does on the invitation. This menu can also be made into a table number.

For couples who are inspired by an era where the glamorous style became timeless, this is definitely the set for you!

You can purchase the set by visiting our ETSY listing.

Let it Snow - Winter Wedding Ideas

While we don't like to make it a habit of jumping from Halloween one week to Winter the next, with the snow gracing us this morning we thought it only fitting to share some winter wedding ideas.

Winter weddings now account for more than 30% of all annual nuptials, so what exactly is causing this trend to be on the rise??

As fur, feathers and twinkle lights gain popularity in style and decor, so do the rise in winter weddings; but style isn't the only thing that are attracting couples to the colder months. Pricing can also be an appealing feature, with many venues giving a handsomely discounted rates in 'off season' months.

In our very first blog we talked about how the traditional wedding flower is losing popularity and it just may be that winter weddings are part of the reason. It's no secret that flowers don't bloom in the winter, so trying to 'fake it' isn't always something couples opt to do, and alternatives to flowers are a perfect solution.

Below we will discuss some stationary and decor ideas that are perfect for our cold weather couples.

Instead of traditional flowers, decorated hand muffs are the perfect accent for your girls!

Since winter months often eliminate outdoor celebrations simple and elegant decor can dress up any indoor space. White branches look beautiful lining the aisle of your ceremony.

With Christmas being the staple of the winter, invitations and stationary that mimic a gift  are beautiful and classy, regardless of the event!
